PROGRAM GOAL (IMPACT STATEMENT)
To empower women and youth with sustainable green livelihoods while strengthening climate resilience and advancing climate justice for communities disproportionately affected by climate change and environmental degradation in Uganda.
PROBLEM STATEMENT (WHY THIS PROGRAM EXISTS)
Women and marginalized communities:
- Bear the greatest burden of climate change impacts
- Have limited access to decent, green, and resilient livelihoods
- Are excluded from climate finance, markets, and decision-making
- Face loss of land, income, and food security due to climate shocks
- Receive minimal benefits from climate and green economy initiatives
Climate action without justice and livelihoods deepens inequality.
